What you’ll do

This position offers a leadership role in technical troubleshooting and provide engineering solutions to Remote Factories (RF) manufacturing Lam Products. The candidate will manage program or project and drive cross functional team alignment functions for key initiatives in SET (Supplier Engineering & Technology) group.

• Develop Suppliers to meet Lam quality standards 
• Design, develop and implement cost-effective methods of testing, troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development and manufacturing. 
• Prepare test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. 
• Work with internal & external stakeholders to influence decisions and drive company objectives.
• Perform project management and cross functional team alignment functions for key initiatives in SET (Supplier Engineering & Technology) group.
• Responsible for establishing the plan for new supplier development _ Test qualification plan for localization/part transition to local supplier
• Support and develop a scalable and sustainable solution to global test fixture management for all remote factory commodities
• Provide technical support in Build, Test and FQA to new Remote Factory (RF) suppliers in deposition and etch product deployment and transition
• Develop efficient automated testing procedures through software scripting.

Who we’re looking for

• Engineering Degree (Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science).
• 5 years’ experience in Test Engineering/Development environment with in-depth knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
• Understand control systems in process automation (preferably wafer handler ATM and VTM) & Process Module & & AC/DC Power distribution panel/box & serial communication protocols (Device Net, Ethercat, RS 485, RS 232, EIOC).
• Functional understanding for sub-parts of wafer handle ATM, VTM and Process Module, such as robotics and associated Mechanical Systems/Automation, Hardware Instrumentation & Controls
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and proficient in electrical circuit testing & troubleshooting. 
• Skills in understanding of electric circuit diagram(electrical schematic)
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills with proven track record in managing technical projects.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams across multiple departments to achieve goals.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
