As a Sr. Solutions Architect on the team supporting the strategic Digital Natives Business (DNB) customers, you will shape the future of the Data & AI landscape by working with the most sophisticated data engineering and data science teams in the world.
Reporting to the Field Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with customers, product teams, and the broader customer-facing team to develop architectures and solutions using our platform and APIs. You will guide customers through the competitive landscape, best practices, and implementation, and develop technical champions along the way.
7+ years in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role
Experience building distributed data systems
Comfortable programming in and debugging Python and SQL
Have built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Expertise in one of the following:
Data Engineering technologies (Ex: Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (Ex: pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow)
Available to travel to customers in your region
[Desired] Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research)
Nice to have: Databricks Certification
Location: Remote (Pacific Time preferred; Mountain Time considered).

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. $219,100—$301,300 USD
