Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Datastage developer with strong expertise in Datastage, SQL and Unix.

Key Responsibilities

Independently design, develop, and test DataStage components, ensuring alignment with acceptance criteria and software craftsmanship principles.
Deliver across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in line with Agile practices.
Manage production deployments and provide post‑production support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data pipelines.
Ensure timely and effective communication with counterparts, stakeholders, and partners.
Identify and address recurring production issues and propose improvement actions.
Manage and support production batch loads.
Perform release validations, ensuring defect‑free deployments.
Prepare and maintain metrics, test results, and defect reports.

Profile required

Experience: 5–7 years in Datastage development & support, preferably within the Banking domain.

Technical Skills & Expertise

5–7 years of experience in Datastage development & support.
Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake SQL, including complex queries and performance tuning.
Good understanding of ETL/Data Warehouse concepts, including data validations and reconciliation.
Strong knowledge of Unix commands and shell scripting.
Experience with Control-M for scheduling DataStage and Unix jobs.
Proficient in SQL, with strong analytical skills to identify data anomalies and provide resolutions.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and active participation in Agile ceremonies.
Ability to work as an individual contributor, taking ownership of deliverables end-to-end.
Good communication skills to collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) on technical issues and acceptance criteria for business changes in pre-prod and prod environments.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address business and production requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
Good to have: Knowledge of cloud data platforms.
