We're looking for an experienced software integration engineer to lead Validation & Verification (V&V) efforts at Plus by conducting hands-on testing of our autonomous driving stack, with a particular focus on our planning stack or safety rated embedded MCU. In this role, you will also work together with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement closed-course vehicle testing programs. Your responsibilities will include creating and executing end-to-end software test plans for autonomous driving, supporting development on either the planning or MCU teams, and generating tooling and documentation to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead planning and execution of closed-course autonomous vehicle system testing.
Create V&V plans and develop test matrix based on product requirements to thoroughly test autonomy software on-vehicle.
Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot software errors, including working with Linux, ROS, sensors, actuators, and various log data.
Work with engineers to determine how to test different parts of the autonomy stack and report back test failures to management.
Organize and execute field testing to test autonomy software on-vehicle in various environments including closed course.
Execute the test cases based on release milestones.
Support development of either the planning stack or the embedded safety MCU
Generate documentation and back-end tooling to improve operational efficiency

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics
2+ years of experience creating and executing test plans for software and hardware systems.
2+ years of experience working with robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicles.
Experience debugging system behaviors in Linux, ROS, C++, and Python, and identifying software failures caused by hardware sensors.
Programming skills in Python, C++, bash
Willingness to travel to test sites near San Antonio, Texas and around the country.

Previous experience working in testing Autonomy or ADAS applications.
Previous experience in Validation and Verification at an autonomous vehicle company.
Previous experience testing large vehicles in defense, mining, construction, or agriculture.
Experience with autonomous driving compute systems, sensors and communication protocols.

$125,000 - $175,000 a year
