Rocket Now is a food delivery service with no delivery or service fees. Consumers can enjoy a wide variety of cuisines, from Japanese and Western food to healthy options, as well as desserts and drinks, quickly and affordably. The service is currently available mainly in Hokkaido, Tohoku (Sendai), Kanto (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba), Chubu (Aichi,
Shizuoka), Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo), Hiroshima, and Kyushu (Fukuoka). Rocket Now won the Excellence Award in the Shopping Category at the Best App Awards 2025. CP One Japan operates the "Rocket Now" brand food delivery service in Japan, leveraging Coupang's technological capabilities and innovative logistics solutions to provide fast, reliable, and customer-oriented food delivery services to Japanese consumers.
Rocket Now is looking for a highly analytical and operationally strong data analyst / Senior data analyst to support and scale our delivery driver operations. This role will focus on driver onboarding, day-to-day driver operations, incentive program management, and solving operational challenges through data-driven and creative approaches.
This role focuses on using data to improve driver engagement, retention, and supply quality, working closely with operations, growth, and marketplace teams.
Rather than building infrastructure alone, you will act as a data partner to the business, transforming complex data into actionable insights and scalable solutions that drive marketplace performance.
What You’ll Do
1. Drive Driver Engagement & Retention Strategy
Analyze driver lifecycle: onboarding → activation → engagement → retention
Identify key drop-off points and improvement opportunities
Support initiatives such as incentives, rewards, and resurrection programs
2. Support Marketplace & Supply Decisions
Provide data insights on:
Supply-demand balance
Driver availability and activity levels
Regional/time-based supply gaps
Partner with Ops and Marketplace teams to optimize driver supply
3. Build Metrics & Reporting System
Define and standardize key metrics (e.g. active drivers, retention, activation rates)
Build and maintain dashboards for business teams
Ensure consistent KPI definitions across stakeholders
4. Analyze Incentives & ROI
Evaluate effectiveness of driver incentives (promotions, missions, rewards)
Conduct cohort analysis and ROI evaluation
Provide recommendations: scale, iterate, or stop programs
5. Enable Data-Driven Decision Making
Translate business questions into analytical frameworks
Support A/B testing and experiment design
Deliver clear insights to drive decisions
Experience in delivery, logistics, mobility, or marketplace operations is a plus
Experience designing or managing incentive programs
