組織について
オリンパスのIT部門は、グローバルな医療機器企業をテクノロジーで支える専門組織であり、500人以上のプロフェッショナルが世界5地域で活躍しています。
本社機能としては、事業戦略からセキュリティ領域まで6つのファンクションに分かれ、それぞれがITを活用してオリンパスの事業をサポートしています。
2019年からは、「真のグローバル・メディカル・テクノロジーカンパニー（メドテックカンパニー）」への飛躍を目指す変革プラン「Transform Olympus」を掲げており、日本発でグローバルに活動することが強く求められています。
担当職種の内容
（雇入れ直後）
ビジネス・リレーションシップ・マネージャー（BRM）Leadは、担当するビジネスドメイン（調達、製造／修理、サプライチェーン）におけるグローバルIT戦略の策定・推進をリードし、当該領域におけるIT投資価値の最大化に責任を持つポジションです。
本ポジションは、全地域・全事業部門において、ビジネスニーズを的確に把握し、IT投資として具体化・実行・価値創出につなげることを目的としています。
BRM Leadは、ビジネスリーダーにとってはIT組織への信頼できるパートナーであり、IT組織にとっては戦略立案・調整・コミュニケーションを担う中核的存在として機能します。エグゼクティブレベルから現場レベルまで、幅広いステークホルダーと協働し、持続的で整合性の取れた関係構築を推進します。
戦略・ロードマップ策定／需要管理・デリバリー
（調達、製造／修理、サプライチェーン、オペレーション領域）
- R&Dおよび品質領域のBRMやビジネスステークホルダーと密接に連携しながら、担当ドメインにおけるグローバルIT戦略の策定・推進・オーナーシップを担う
- 担当ドメインにおけるIT投資に対するビジネス需要を形成・管理し、他ドメインBRMとの依存関係（リスク・機会）を考慮した上で、優先順位付けされた需要を適切なITソリューションおよび明確に定義されたプロジェクトへと落とし込む
- ビジネス・キャパシティ・モデルおよびシステムランドスケープに関する中長期ロードマップを策定・維持し、データマネジメント、BI、OT（オペレーショナル・テクノロジー）ロードマップと整合させる
- ベンダーに対するグローバルRFPの企画・分析・提案・実行をリード
- ビジネスのミッション、計画、優先事項をアプリケーションドメインおよび関連IT機能へとつなぎ、ITデリバリー組織に対して適切な支援を働きかける
- プロジェクト実行中は、ソリューションデリバリーおよびサービスデリバリー組織におけるITデリバリーの成果に責任を持つ
- プロジェクト完了後は、学習・改善レビューの仕組みを構築し、継続的な価値創出を推進
- ビジネスの期待および新技術に対応するために必要なIT組織の新たなケイパビリティを特定し、IT組織内での業務理解を高める ステークホルダーマネジメント／関係構築
- エグゼクティブおよびその直属部下に対し、デジタルリテラシー向上を支援・助言し、ビジネス成果につながるテクノロジー要件を明確化できるよう支援
- AIなどの新技術や市場での成功事例を積極的に共有
- エンタープライズアーキテクチャと連携し、全社ロードマップの策定に貢献
- IT組織の主要なアドボケートとして、ビジネス部門のエグゼクティブに対し、IT戦略（アーキテクチャ、インフラ／セキュリティ戦略等）への理解・支援・投資を促進
- IT計画や変更内容、そのビジネスへの影響を適切に共有
- ITサービスに対する満足度を評価するVoC（社内顧客の声）プロセスを構築・運用し、改善を推進
ピープルマネジメント
- チームメンバーをリードし、育成・評価を行い、現在および将来のビジネスニーズに対応できるパフォーマンスを実現する マネジメント責任（Supervisor Responsibilities）
- 担当ドメインにおけるBRM組織を、全地域・全事業部門にわたり構築・運営（直接／間接レポートライン含む）
- 想定：
- 約5名の直接レポート
- 20名以上の間接レポート（成果責任あり）
- 外部シニアコンサルタント
- エグゼクティブ／VP／ディレクターレベルのビジネスステークホルダー約30名
- 上記をグローバルにマネジメント・影響力行使する責任を担う

Role Overview
（Immediately after hiring）
The BRM Lead creates, owns, and drives the global wide IT strategy for the assigned Business Domains: Procurement, Manufacturing/Repair, Supply chain; and is accountable and responsible for maximizing the value of the related IT investment made in this area.
The primary purpose of this role is to effectively stimulate, shape, manage and realize the business demand for the IT investment in its assigned Domains across all geographies and business units.
From the perspective of the executive business leaders, the BRM Lead is an advocate and the business unit's frontline representative to the IT organization. From the perspective of the IS organization, the BRM Lead is the IT organization's strategist, coordinator, chief advocate, marketer, and communicator. The BRM Lead should foster business customer intimacy in IT and continuously develop a symbiotic and aligned relationship with all the business stakeholders at Executive Level and below.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Roadmap Definition, Demand Management and Delivery
- Plan, develop, own, and drive the global wide IT strategy for the assigned Business Domains, in close collaboration with the BRM and business stakeholders in the R&D and Quality Domains
- Foster, shape and manage the business demand for the IT investment in its assigned Business Domains across all geographies and business units. Identify approaches to meet the business's needs, as well as the dependencies (both risks and opportunities) with other Domain BRM’s. Ensure that the prioritized demand is satisfyingly translated into valid IT solutions and clearly defined projects (right scoping and proper benefit definition).
- Establish and maintain multi-year roadmap of the Business Capacity Model & the System Landscape for IT systems related to Domains in scope; synchronize it with Data Management, BI and OT (Operational Technology) roadmaps. Identify and run the required global wide requests for proposals, analysis, recommendations, and execution with vendors.
- Communicate, coordinate, connect the business mission, plans and priorities to the application domains and related IT functions, and lobby the IT delivery organization(s) to plan and provide fitting support.
- Once projects are in flight, the BRM Lead will be accountable to satisfy IT delivery across the Solution Delivery and Service Delivery organizations. After project completion, establish a learning & improvement review process to continuously enhance business value generation.
- Identify the new capabilities required in IT organization to satisfy the business expectations and new technological opportunities. Raise in the IT organization the understanding of the functional domains Stakeholder Management & Relationship Development
- Coach executive business stakeholders and their direct reports and continuously raise their digital literacy; enable them to articulate technology needs and requirements that will advance business performance; proactively share technology advancements (AI etc) and market success stories in respective Functional Domain; consult with Enterprise Architecture in developing the enterprise roadmap.
- As the IT organization's chief advocate, inform and influence the business unit executives so that they understand, support, and adequately fund projects that are in concert with IT goals, such as enterprise architecture and the infrastructure/security strategy. Notify the business of IS plans and changes, and their impact on business performance or plans.
- Establish and run an internal VoC process (Voice of Internal Customer) to evaluate levels of satisfaction with the IT service delivery and to identify improvements required in IT/Business Units in order to further increase the value delivered by IT projects and services.
People Management
- Lead, motivate, develop, and appraise team members so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business.
Superviror Responsibilities.
- Establish and manage the BRM organization required in the assigned Business Domain across all geographies and business units (direct and indirect reporting lines).
- Assumption is to be in charge of ~5 direct reports, >20 indirect reports (accountability for their delivery), external senior consultants, and to manage and influence ~30 business stakeholders at Executive/VP/ Director levels ? all of those responsibilities globally across all regions.

経験
- 日本および海外における製造／サプライチェーン領域での業務・システム変革経験
- 担当ドメインにおけるグローバルGMまたはシニアITコンサルタントとしての10年以上の経験
- 価値創出およびデマンドプランニングに関する5年以上の経験
- ソリューションコンサルティングおよび導入／運用支援の両方の経験
- 医療業界におけるデジタル主導の顧客向けソリューション経験があれば尚可
マネジメント経験
- 複数地域・多文化環境におけるチームおよびエグゼクティブステークホルダーのマネジメント経験
- 人材マネジメント（評価、育成、日常的なコーチング）に関する10年以上の経験

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration.
- BRM Institute Certification would be a plus (not mandatory).
Experience
Specialized experience
- Solid experience in driving process change and system change (core systems: PLM / ERP / MES / QMS / SupplyChain; and DX innovation) in a Manufacturing/Supply Chain environment in Japan and abroad
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Global General Manager or Senior IT Consultant in the assigned Business Domain and related areas.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in value creation and demand planning activities. Experience of Design Thinking, Value Stream Mapping, Business Capability modelling would be a plus.
- Experience of both solution consulting and implementation/support.
- Strong working understanding of major business processes, key performance indicators, best-in-class practices, business, and technology trends in the assigned Business Domain.
- Proven experience of new digital-driven customer solutions in the Medical industry would be a plus
- Proven competencies to drive value realization through systems and process convergence Management experience
- Experience in successfully managing teams and Executive stakeholders in multiple geographies/cultures.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managing staff, including work review, performance reviews and day-to-day coaching.
