We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our dynamic Sales Financing APAC Team within Treasury & Finance. As a key member of the team, you will lead credit risk management across MFTBC’s export business, develop trade finance and customer-dedicated financing solutions, and execute liquidity optimization measures. You will also drive transformation and efficiency through innovation projects. Your Responsibilities
1. Lead credit risk management across MFTBC’s export business, including credit assessments, setting payment terms, monitoring customer risk, and managing financial securities
2. Develop trade finance and customer-dedicated financing solutions, engaging with banking partners and financial institutions to support exports and strengthen customer relationships.
3. Manage letters of credit, bank guarantees, and other related securities and financial instruments to minimize financial risk
4. Identify opportunities to optimize cash flow and liquidity through factoring and related instruments
5. Drive transformation and efficiency through innovation projects and system enhancements
You will play a central role in developing and implementing customer-first strategies by managing export credit risks, overseeing trade finance strategies, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. You will lead the management of trade finance instruments and other securities to mitigate risks, as well as execute liquidity optimization measures. This role offers significant growth opportunities, including leading innovation projects, supporting IT system enhancements, and guiding junior staff. You will be exposed to global Treasury & Finance functions, enhancing both your technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Treasury, Financial Services, Banking, or Finance & Controlling. University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. In-depth knowledge of global economics, capital markets, and financial instruments such as FX, export/trade finance, and guarantees, along with financial statement analysis. Strong proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerAutomate) and familiarity with Treasury and banking systems. Experience in IT systems within the automotive or banking sector is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, with strong interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural global team. Proven experience leading complex regional or global projects is preferred.
