Lam Research is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support the design, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of fire protection and life safety systems at the Korea Technology Center (KTC). This role will help ensure regulatory compliance, facility safety, and operational reliability for advanced semiconductor R&D facilities.
Bachelor's degree in:
Fire Protection Engineering
Safety Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Or related engineering discipline
Strong understanding of:
Fire dynamics
Fire detection and suppression systems
Hazardous material risk management
Engineering design review
Construction and commissioning processes
Experience reviewing engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering documentation systems.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection Engineering.
Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).
Fire Protection Engineer License (소방설비기사 – Mechanical or Electrical).
Experience applying NFPA and FM Global standards.
Experience supporting semiconductor fabrication facilities, R&D centers, or cleanroom environments.
Experience with:
Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS)
Pathfinder
BIM/Revit
Computational fire modeling

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
