Responsibilities

We are looking for high quality talent to join Bernstein’s premier Equity Research platform in Asia. We are recruiting for full-time Research Associates. Our research teams are typically only two or three professionals; therefore, you will have a high level of responsibility and be empowered to make an important contribution. We are looking to hire Research Associates in Japan for both the Bernstein (multi-industry) and Autonomous (financials-only) brands.

As a Research Associate you will:

Acquire expertise in your sector working with a Senior Analyst who is a seasoned industry expert.
Become adept at in-depth analysis of your industry and companies.
Contribute to our highly differentiated written product
Build relationships with company managements as well as sales, trading, and institutional clients

Profile required

Our Research Associates typically possess:

Track records of outstanding academic performance, including honors and awards. Academic credentials typically include test scores and grades in the 90th percentile and above.
Advanced financial modelling skills including confident knowledge of Excel and/or experience of analyzing financial companies (may have credentials such as the CFA, ACA or CPA)
Excellent broad-based analytical skills
Familiarity with Bloomberg is an advantage.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English & Japanese (Native or N1 – JLPT). Fluency in other Asian languages is an advantage.
Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level
