Own the developer platform roadmap. You are the primary idea generator. You identify what's slowing engineers down, what's highest-leverage to fix, and what the platform needs to look like in 12–18 months. You will drive prioritization and expect to be largely trusted on those calls.
Lead a team of platform engineers building and evolving the tools, systems, and paved paths that hundreds of product engineers rely on every day: CI/CD pipelines, build tooling, developer experience, and observability.
Stay close to the ground. You dogfood the platform, run developer interviews, and bring firsthand product instincts to every prioritization decision. You know what engineers actually need because you are regularly in conversation with them.
Drive execution. You are hands-on enough to engage directly with the hard problems, review technical designs with genuine depth, and help your team find the right solutions.
Contribute to company-wide planning, cross-team decisions, and the long-term strategy of the combined platform, security, and infrastructure organization.
Help build the Amsterdam engineering culture: hiring, onboarding, team rituals, and the day-to-day environment that makes engineers want to do their best work.
