As an Attorney at Intel, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert legal counsel on employment and labor law matters in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.
This role is central to ensuring compliance with Irish and European labor and employment laws, while enabling Intel's manufacturing, research, and commercial operations through practical, business-oriented, and risk-based legal advice.
You will work closely with senior leadership, HR, Employee Relations, and cross-functional partners to navigate high-impact workforce decisions, drive legally sound outcomes, and ensure consistency across jurisdictions.
This position is based at Intel's Leixlip campus in Ireland and reports to the Director of International Employment Legal within Intel's integrated regional legal team.
Serve as the primary employment law advisor for Intel Ireland, supporting manufacturing and RD operations.
Provide guidance on Irish employment law, including:
Working Time and leave regulations.
Equality and anti-discrimination laws.
Disciplinary and dismissal processes.
Redundancy and collective consultation obligations.
Industrial relations and union engagement.
Ensure all workforce actions are legally compliant, well-documented, and defensible.
Provide legal support on employment and labor issues across Europe, including:
Multi-country employee relations matters.
Cross-border reorganizations and restructurings.
Works council and employee representative engagement.
Harmonization of policies and employment practices.
Act as a central coordinating counsel, working closely with external counsel in key European jurisdictions.
Advise on EU-derived frameworks and compliance obligations impacting workforce management.
Provide legal oversight on complex and sensitive employee relations matters, including:
Workplace investigations harassment discrimination whistleblowing.
Disciplinary actions and terminations.
Grievances and conflict resolution.
Partner closely with HR ER teams to ensure fair process, consistency, and legal defensibility, particularly in high-risk cases.
Lead and advise on Ireland and Europe workforce restructuring initiatives, including:
Individual and collective redundancies.
Site reorganizations and business transformations.
Transfers of undertakings TUPE type scenarios.
Ensure compliance with consultation, notification, and employee protection requirements across jurisdictions.
Manage employment-related disputes, including labor court claims, tribunal proceedings, and mediations.
Instruct and manage external counsel to ensure efficient strategy execution and favorable outcomes.
Proactively identify trends and risks to minimize litigation exposure.
Advise on and help develop employment policies aligned with Irish and European legal frameworks.
Support implementation of Intel's Code of Conduct, ethics, and compliance standards across the workforce.
Deliver targeted employment law training to HR and business leaders, with a focus on risk prevention and process discipline.
Partner with business and operational leaders to support:
Workforce aspects of manufacturing and operational compliance including EHS interfaces.
Employment implications in government programs, incentives, and strategic initiatives.
Provide practical, solution-oriented advice that aligns legal risk with business priorities.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership in Ireland, contributing to site-level decision making.
Build strong partnerships across HR, ER, compliance, and regional legal teams.
Contribute to regional legal initiatives, including process improvements, compliance frameworks, and capability building across Europe.
Qualifications
Irish employment law and employee relations.
European labor law frameworks and cross-border issues.
Proven experience managing investigations, disciplinary processes, and employment litigation.
Experience supporting multi-jurisdictional workforce matters across Europe.
Works councils and employee representation structures in Europe.
Collective consultation and restructuring processes.
Ability to influence and work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Fluency in an additional European language.

Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Ireland is: €73,600.00 - €142,500.00 The compensation range displayed in this posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for this position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education, training. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may include additional pay components and benefits.
