We are looking for Design Engineer Portable Power Equipment to join our team at Bobcat. 

As a Design Engineer at Bobcat, you will play a key role in our portable power community by helping design and develop our products – portable compressors, diesel generators and lighting towers - from concept through prototyping and testing to manufacturing. Your work will directly contribute to product quality, technical solutions, and the successful delivery of engineering designs that meet both customer needs and production requirements.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Designing, modifying, and maintaining product, system, and component designs
• Creating manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation
• Working in CAD and supporting technical analysis and simulations
• Contributing to feasibility studies for new products and design changes
• Supporting product development from concept through prototype and testing
• Solving technical issues in cooperation with production, testing, and sourcing teams
• Maintaining engineering data in the lifecycle management system
• Collaborating closely with internal teams and external suppliers when needed

What sets you apart:

• A university degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Solid knowledge of mechanics, basic understanding of electro-mechanics or electronics is a plus
• Strong CAD and general IT skills, including MS Office and engineering tools
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently
• Fluency in English, Czech is an advantage
• Willingness to work on-site in Dobříš and travel occasionally
• A driving license Category B is required
