Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) is a global commercial vehicle manufacturer with more than 90 years of history and craftsmanship, delivering high‑quality trucks and buses to over 170 countries and regions worldwide.

In April 2026, MFTBC will integrate with Hino Motors under a newly established holding company, ARCHION, and begin operations as part of this new organization.

ARCHION is a new commercial vehicle group jointly supported by Toyota Motor Corporation and Daimler Truck, each holding a 25% stake, aiming to strengthen competitiveness across the Asia‑Pacific region and beyond through collaboration in development, procurement, and production.

Building on Japan’s engineering excellence and our extensive global experience, MFTBC will continue to accelerate innovation in commercial vehicle development, advance carbon‑neutral initiatives, and drive CASE technologies including electrification and automated driving.

Introduction/Description of the Department

Our primary responsibility is to ensure product reliability and performance through thorough validation before delivery to customers. This includes evaluating all possible vehicle usage scenarios to guarantee quality and safety.

We also conduct benchmarking of competitor vehicles to stay informed about the latest industry trends. Insights gained from these evaluations are used to enhance future product development.

The vehicles we validate and release play a vital role in supporting those who keep the world moving. To meet evolving customer needs and integrate emerging technologies, we continuously strive to improve our validation methods for greater efficiency and adaptability.

Organization

Performance / Function Testing Department consists of 4 specialized teams responsible for comprehensive vehicle validation activities.

With approximately 50 members, the department fosters a dynamic and collaborative working environment.

Among these, the ATS / Cooling System Team comprises 12 members and focuses on validation tasks related to Aftertreatment Systems, cooling performance, heat damage assessment, air drag, and fuel consumption.

仕事内容 / Job Description

■ Job Summary

This role involves planning and executing vehicle-level validation activities for ATS systems in alignment with the project scope. 

Responsibilities include:

- Developing validation plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including suppliers.

- Coordinating and conducting actual vehicle testing.

- Reviewing and analyzing test data.

- Preparing comprehensive test reports.

The scope also includes standard vehicle validation under various environmental conditions such as high-altitude, summer/winter climates, and overseas local testing. Regular cross-functional discussions are held with teams from vehicle integration, design, testing, suppliers, and other Daimler Truck Group members to ensure alignment and progress.
