Work with stakeholders to gather requirements

Design and implementation of network solutions (as a part of the Network Engineering team)

Maintain and update detailed network documentation

Provide escalation point for resolving complex problems requiring advanced skills and research capability

Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with licensing and support agreements

Manage projects utilizing remote hands vendors and internal staff

Provide support knowledge sharing, authoring, and maintenance of system run books and documentation

Independent worker who drives work to completion based on pre-devised project plan

Communication with customers and team members throughout project assignments; reports back progress through project management system at regular intervals.

Support 24x7 Network Operations and on-call activities.

Perform incident and change management according to ITIL processes.

Provide timely updates to stakeholders until service restoration is complete.

Prepare the incident report (RCA) and recommend long-term improvements to prevent recurrence.

Minimum five years’ experience as a network engineer responsible for a primarily Cisco and Fortinet based network.

Expert knowledge of Cisco and Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls products, their functionality, configuration and best practices.

Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, Meraki wireless, and FortiGate firewalls.

QoS, IPSLA, DMVPN, WAN, MPLS, SIP, PRI, IPSEC, STP

Working knowledge of security infrastructure, such as firewalls and proxies (or analogous tools)

Working knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF

Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking configuration and protocols

Error investigation, Troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis

Experience in data center industry

Cisco Certification Network Professional certification or higher

Familiarity with SolarWinds monitoring platform

Cisco – 5 – 10 years (route (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switch, DMVPN, IPSec, SSL VPN)
