PayPay is rapidly scaling, currently hiring several hundred new team members per year. Our TA team is a high-energy group of professionals (primarily late 20s to mid-30s). To match the next growth phase of our product organization, we are looking for a Tech Recruiter to own end-to-end hiring for our engineering teams.
Full-Cycle Engineering Recruitment: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for product engineers, from defining talent requirements with technical stakeholders to candidate closing and offer management
Direct Sourcing & Global Recruitment: Formulate and execute proactive direct sourcing strategies to attract top-tier tech talent, both domestically and globally (including candidates residing overseas)
Data-Driven Process Optimization: Analyze ATS pipeline metrics, sourcing ROI, and funnel conversion rates to continuously optimize hiring strategies and operational efficiency
Stakeholder Alignment & Advisory: Partner closely with Engineering Leads to define role personas, design objective evaluation rubrics, and deliver interviewer training
Recruitment Marketing & Events: Collaborate on employer branding initiatives, technical meetups, and hiring events to enhance PayPay’s presence in the tech market
Master High-Volume, High-Bar Hiring: Gain deep expertise and sharpen your recruiter toolkit by delivering high-volume, top-quality output in a premier FinTech environment
End-to-End Ownership: Work across the full spectrum, from upstream strategy and tactical sourcing design to hands-on candidate closing
Cross-Functional HR Collaboration: Partner closely with HR Planning and HRBP teams, gaining well-rounded exposure as a senior HR professional
Direct Business Impact & Career Growth: Play a central role in building the engineering organization of one of Japan’s fastest-growing tech companies, with long-term growth potential as the team scales
Proven Tech Recruiting Track Record: 3+ years of end-to-end technical recruiting experience (in-house or agency) specializing in software/product engineering
Direct Sourcing Expertise: Deep experience utilizing direct sourcing techniques and talent mapping to hire passive engineering talent
Global Recruiting: Practical experience recruiting overseas candidates (managing global pipelines and relocation context)
Tool Proficiency: Strong, data-informed command of ATS, sourcing platforms, and talent intelligence tools
Language Fluency: Fluent/Business-level proficiency in English or Japanese
