We are looking for a strategic and highly analytical Paid Media Manager, reporting to our Director, Paid & Owned Media, to lead our advertising efforts across the UK and Europe. Based in London, you will be the driving force behind our ad buying strategy for both Tripadvisor and Viator. Because we believe Execution is Our Edge, we need a leader who can move fast, experiment, and scale winning campaigns. You will manage agency relationships, execute high-level media plans, and leverage AI and automation to ensure our media buying is as efficient and impactful as possible. Above all, you will use behavioral insights to ensure our advertising puts the Traveler First.
Job Location: London Hybrid
This role is a hybrid position that requires 1-2 days per week in our London office.
What You’ll Do
Develop, execute, and own the comprehensive paid media strategy for the UK and European markets, utilizing behavioral data to build campaigns that resonate with and prioritize traveler needs.
Manage day-to-day relationships with external media buying agencies, setting clear expectations, and driving a We Succeed Together culture rooted in shared accountability and collaborative success.
Champion production efficiency by integrating AI tools, automated bidding strategies, and machine-learning solutions into media planning, creative testing, and campaign optimization workflows.
Allocate and manage regional media budgets, constantly experimenting, learning from failures, and iterating to maximize ROI and efficient customer acquisition.
Lead campaign execution from ideation through launch, acting with agility and taking total ownership of media performance across channels (Social, Programmatic, Video, App, etc.).
Act as the internal subject matter expert on the UK and European media landscapes, advising cross-functional teams on regional nuances while keeping execution scalable and data-driven.
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making in day-to-day work.
Proven ability to operate effectively with a global-first mindset
7+ years of experience in paid media, digital advertising, or media planning/buying (agency or client-side experience welcome).
Deep, nuanced understanding of the UK and European digital marketing ecosystems and regional consumer behaviors.
Proven experience successfully managing external marketing or media buying agencies with a focus on shared goals.
Strong background in managing complex, high-budget campaigns with a track record of agile execution and meeting or exceeding performance targets (e.g., iROAS, LTV, etc.).
Expert-level knowledge of major digital ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, programmatic DSPs, etc.) and a proactive approach to adopting new AI marketing technologies.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate behavioral data sets into clear, actionable strategic improvements.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in traditional/offline media buying (OOH, TV, Radio, Print) within the European market.
Previous experience in the travel, hospitality, or global marketplace sectors.
Familiarity with advanced marketing attribution models and media mix modeling (MMM).
