The Role and Candidate
The Flagship Store Manager is responsible for leading POP MART's highest-profile retail location, setting the standard for operational excellence, customer experience and commercial performance across the store network. Leading a large, multi-level store, they take full ownership of all aspects of the business, including sales performance, team development, visual merchandising, stock management, compliance and the consistent delivery of POP MART's unique brand experience.
This role requires an experienced and inspiring retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. As a visible and hands on leader, the Flagship Store Manager spends the majority of their time on the shop floor, leading by example, supporting customers, coaching their team and ensuring exceptional execution every day. They are equally comfortable driving commercial performance, developing people, supporting operational tasks and delivering world class customer experiences.
The successful candidate will build, inspire and develop a high performing leadership team and store colleagues, creating a culture built on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. They will empower their team through coaching, recognition and clear performance expectations while fostering an engaging and inclusive environment where both employees and customers can thrive.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Flagship Store Manager will play a key role in delivering major product launches, flagship events and strategic business initiatives. As the face of one of POP MART's most important stores, they will champion the brand's values, inspire their team to exceed expectations and establish the flagship as the benchmark for customer experience, operational excellence and commercial success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of 60+ employees, creating a high-performing, engaged and customer-focused culture.
- Lead from the front by spending the majority of each trading day on the shop floor, coaching, supporting and developing the team in real time.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences by actively engaging with customers and acting as a brand ambassador for POP MART.
- Drive commercial performance by achieving sales, conversion, ATV, UPT and productivity targets while maintaining exceptional operational standards.
- Take ownership of all flagship operations, including scheduling, payroll, stock management, cash handling, compliance and health & safety.
- Personally support major product launches, IP releases, seasonal campaigns and high-volume trading periods to ensure flawless execution.
- Champion outstanding visual merchandising standards, ensuring the flagship consistently showcases POP MART's creativity and premium brand image.
- Support stock deliveries, replenishment and inventory management whenever required, ensuring excellent product availability and presentation.
- Recruit, develop and retain high-performing managers and store associates through coaching, structured development and succession planning.
- Develop, coach and hold the leadership team accountable, ensuring Assistant Managers and Supervisors have clear objectives, deliver consistent standards and are equipped to lead their own teams effectively.
- Build strong relationships across Retail Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, HR, Facilities and Logistics to deliver business objectives.
- Analyse store performance and use data to identify opportunities to improve sales, customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement where every team member is empowered to succeed.
- Act as the role model for POP MART's values, creating an energetic, inclusive and fun environment for both customers and employees.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of proven track record in managing and developing large retail teams (60+ employees) within high-traffic, high-volume environments.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving commercial objectives while maintaining operational excellence.
- Extensive experience in scheduling, performance management, reporting, recruitment and large-team coordination.
- Highly organized, adaptable and capable of thriving under pressure in a fast-paced flagship setting.
- Genuine passion for pop culture, collectibles, and delivering memorable customer experiences.
