Cloud & Data Center Services
As a technical specialist within Olympus' Global Cloud & Data Center Services organization, you will help drive the stability, standardization, and continuous improvement of hybrid infrastructure platforms that support Olympus' global business operations.
Leveraging your technical expertise across cloud and on-premises environments, you will contribute to resolving complex technical challenges, promoting technical standards, and improving the overall effectiveness of global infrastructure services.
Main responsibilities include
Provide technical expertise and guidance for hybrid cloud and data center platforms
Define and promote technical standards and best practices across virtualization, storage, backup, and server environments
Drive automation and standardization initiatives using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and scripting technologies
Analyze and improve platform performance, availability, capacity, and resilience
Contribute to cloud migration, platform modernization, and data center consolidation initiatives
Lead technical troubleshooting and support resolution of complex infrastructure issues and major incidents
Support security, compliance, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity (BCP) initiatives
Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to global IT teams, service providers, and external partners
5+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale on-premises infrastructure environments and public cloud experiences
5+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale on-premises infrastructure environments
Strong experience and technical expertise in virtualization platforms such as VMware
Experience with physical data center environments, including enterprise-owned and colocation facilities
Experience designing and supporting storage (SAN), backup/restore, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity (BCP) solutions
Experience working within ITIL-based operational processes, including Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management
Experience developing automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies Language Skills
Native Japanese or Business professional level (Equivalent to N1 Level)
Business-level English
Preferred:
Experience supporting or participating in migration projects from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments
Experience supporting enterprise database platforms such as SQL Server and Oracle from an infrastructure perspective
IT infrastructure support experience within manufacturing or R&D environments
Experience leading large-scale global infrastructure modernization, migration, or consolidation initiatives
Experience within the MedTech or healthcare industry Certifications
VMware VCP / VCAP
Windows Server or Linux certifications
Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications
ITIL Foundation or equivalent certifications
