Responsibilities

The AML Risk & Process Officer supports the design, governance, and continuous improvement of the Group’s AML/CFT framework by combining AML risk expertise, Red Flag Mapping (RFM) activities, and process transformation initiatives. The role ensures consistency between identified ML/TF risks, AML/CFT processes, and Transaction Monitoring System (TMS) detection scenarios across the Group.

Specifically, you will be required to:

AML Process & Governance

Contribute to the mapping and assessment of the Group’s AML/CFT operating framework, including processes, governance, documentation, quality assurance, and reporting mechanisms.
Support the definition, deployment, and maintenance of the Group Global Minimum Standards (GMS) and guidance documentation related to AML/CFT alert processing.
Participate in AML/CFT transformation initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening control frameworks.
Contribute to the implementation and stabilization of the Group Quality Assurance framework, including control updates, documentation maintenance, and change management activities.
Assist in defining and improving operating models, governance structures, and process documentation across the AML/CFT value chain.
Monitor process performance through KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate corrective actions.
Organize and facilitate governance forums, steering committees, process reviews, and best-practice sharing sessions.
Ensure consistency and alignment of AML/CFT processes across entities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Raise awareness among business lines and entities regarding AML/CFT standards, governance requirements, and process expectations.

AML Risk & Red Flag Management

Maintain and enhance the Group Red Flag & Risk Indicator Library ensuring its accuracy, consistency, and alignment with emerging AML/CTF risks.
Support AML/CTF risk mapping exercises across entities and business lines, including project planning, workshops, methodological support, and consolidation of results.
Coordinate workshops, consolidate results, and ensure consistency of risk cartographies.
Contribute to the identification and assessment of ML/TF risks associated with products, activities, clients, and business processes
Contribute to risk classification exercises and detection roadmaps.
Ensure alignment between identified risks, Red Flags, and TMS scenarios.
Support the evolution of the Red Flag Mapping Tool and Scenario Repository and contribute to related steering committees.
Promote harmonization and sharing of best practices across entities to ensure consistent risk management approaches throughout the Group.

Stakeholder & Project Management

Collaborate with Financial Security, Compliance, Risk, and Business teams across the Group.
Prepare steering committee materials, management reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses.
Contribute to the development of tools, methodologies, and governance frameworks supporting AML/CFT activities.
Contribute to the design and implementation of technology-enabled solutions supporting risk mapping, quality assurance, process monitoring, and AML detection activities.
Act as a key liaison between Paris-based teams and SG GSC Bucharest teams for AML Risk and Process initiatives.

Profile required

Advanced level of French and English;
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Compliance, AML/CFT, Risk Management, Legal, Internal Control, or related functions;
At least 2 years of experience in AML/CFT, Terrorist Financing, Transaction Monitoring, Detection, or Financial Crime Compliance activities;
Experience in project management, process transformation, or operational excellence initiatives is highly desirable;
Good knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, Know Your Customer (KYC), Financial Crime Compliance, and sanctions/embargo requirements;
Understanding of AML transaction monitoring systems, alert management, and detection methodologies;
Strong analytical and data management capabilities;
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data manipulation tools (VBA, Power BI, or similar);
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement) is an advantage;
Familiarity with governance frameworks, risk assessments, and quality assurance methodologies;
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
Ability to coordinate complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders;
Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills;
Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
Diplomacy and ability to influence across diverse environments;
Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
